This 59-year-old woman from Phoenix, AZ had complaints of lower back pain, recurrent infections in her groin, as well as overhanging skin and soft tissue of her abdomen. A panniculectomy was performed to remove all of the excess skin and fat of the area. This adequately ameliorated her complaints. She reports improved hygiene and resolution of her infections. She is very pleased with the contour of her new belly and stated that she looks forward to maintaining her improved abdominal contour with diet and exercise. Postoperative photographs are shown at 9 months.
